The R&D Center for Smart Manufacturing at Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU) in Taoyuan, Taiwan, is committed to cultivating talent and advancing smart manufacturing technologies.
CYCU’s R&D Center classrooms feature industrial-grade machinery and dual large screens composed of four 4K monitors each. Previously, students could only present through a single connected computer, making direct sharing from smartphones or tablets cumbersome. Setting up additional displays for AirPlay or Chromecast consumed valuable class time, reducing discussion efficiency.
Furthermore, innovative instructional tools, such as augmented reality (AR) applications developed to monitor machine operations via QR codes, faced limitations in being shared on the main screens, restricting interactive learning opportunities.
With the integration of ASTROS Station, professors and students can now seamlessly share content from laptops, MacBooks, Android devices, and iPhones. The Split Screen feature allows up to four devices to display content simultaneously, enhancing collaboration and enabling richer discussions.
Switching between presentations is smooth and immediate, improving classroom interaction and engagement. ASTROS’ wireless presentation solution has not only simplified the setup process but also boosted overall classroom efficiency, fostering a smarter, more connected learning environment.
